Sıla Gençoğlu — Biography
Sıla Gençoğlu was born in Denizli in 1980. She completed her education in the Jazz Vocals Department of İstanbul Bilgi University. Sıla, who for a time was a backing vocalist for Kenan Doğulu, made her breakthrough in 2007 with the song ....Dan Sonra from her self-titled album, and managed to reach number one on the charts. She released the albums İmza in 2009, Konuşamadığımız Şeyler Var in 2010, Vaveyla in 2012, Yeni Ay in 2014 and Yeni Ay in 2016, and is among the best voices in Türkiye. Many of her songs reached the top positions on the charts and became hits. In addition to writing lyrics, Sıla also composes music. She has been deemed worthy of many awards, including 4 Golden Butterfly Awards and 7 Kral Tv Music Awards.
