Alpaslan Kartal — Biography
Alpaslan Kartal (born 23 June 1977 in Sakarya) is a Turkish former footballer.
He began his career at Eskişehirspor, spending four seasons there before going on to play for Çerkezköyspor, Gaziosmanpaşa and Ağrıspor in turn. At the start of the 2000-01 season he moved to Diyarbakırspor, where he spent two seasons, before joining Mersin İdman Yurdu midway through 2001-02 and winning the second-tier league title with the club that season. He subsequently played for Adanaspor, Kayserispor, Kayseri Erciyesspor and Elazığspor before signing for Kasımpaşa midway through the 2005-06 season, where he stayed for five seasons. After Kasımpaşa he moved to Denizlispor in January 2010 and then to Samsunspor; when his Samsunspor contract ended on 31 May 2011 he returned to Kasımpaşa, but found no first-team opportunities there, making 9 appearances for the club's reserve side before retiring at the end of the season.
While at Eskişehirspor, Kartal was called up to the Turkey under-18 squad three times for the Paolo Valente Tournament, making his debut against Norway on 30 March 1996 and winning his last cap against Iceland on 1 April 1996.
