Alpaslan Öztürk — Biography
Alpaslan Öztürk was born on 16 July 1993 in Antwerp, Belgium, to Turkish parents. Standing 1.86 meters tall, he has built his career as a right-back and midfielder, holding dual Turkish and Belgian citizenship.
He came through the youth ranks at Beerschot and had a brief, appearance-free spell with English side Birmingham City before returning to Belgium. Back at Beerschot, he broke into the first team in January 2012; when the club was relegated and then declared bankrupt in 2013, he moved on a free transfer to Standard Liège. His career then took him to Turkey, first on loan to Süper Lig side Kasımpaşa for a season and a half, then to Eskişehirspor for the 2015–16 campaign, followed by a short stint at Elazığspor before he joined Göztepe in 2018.
Although raised in Belgium, Öztürk chose to represent Turkey, his parents' homeland, at various youth levels while also turning out for Belgium's junior national sides earlier in his development.
