Arda Akbulut — Biography
Arda Akbulut is a Turkish footballer, born on 1 January 2001 in Trabzon, who plays as a 1.95m-tall goalkeeper. He came up through Trabzonspor's youth system and began his professional career there in 2017; he made his official debut in a Turkish Cup match against Sivas Belediyespor on 19 December 2018, keeping a clean sheet, and made his Süper Lig debut against Galatasaray on 10 February 2019. With Trabzonspor he won the Turkish Cup in the 2019-20 season and the Süper Lig title in 2021-22, and he also earned 23 caps for Turkey's youth national teams.
In the summer of 2022 he was transferred to Bandırmaspor, returned to Trabzonspor by the end of that year, and was loaned to Adanaspor in January 2023. Loaned to Nazilli Belediyespor in November 2023, he then spent a long spell as goalkeeper for TFF 2. Lig club Fethiyespor.
During a January 2026 match for Fethiyespor, he saved back-to-back penalty kicks from opposing forward Mauro Icardi, a performance that drew considerable press coverage. News of his exit from Fethiyespor broke in June 2026, and at the end of August he signed a two-year deal with TFF 3. Lig club Balıkesirspor.
