Atakan Çankaya — Biography
Atakan Çankaya was born in İzmir on 25 June 1998. A Turkish footballer standing 1.80 m tall, he plays in midfield and defence. He came through the youth ranks of Altay and began his professional career there in 2016. In 2019 he moved to Ankaraspor, then in the TFF First League, and on 11 September 2020 he signed his first professional contract with MKE Ankaragücü. He made his Süper Lig debut for Ankaragücü on 27 June 2020 in a 0-0 draw with Sivasspor.
In August 2021 he was loaned to Göztepe. While at Süper Lig side Fatih Karagümrük he attracted interest from major clubs such as Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray. In January 2026 he parted ways with Karagümrük by mutual agreement and joined TFF 1. Lig club Iğdır FK. In July 2026 Iğdır FK announced that it had parted ways with him.
