Aykut Çeviker — Biography
Aykut Çeviker, born on 3 January 1990 in Ankara, is a Turkish footballer who played in midfield. He began in the youth system of his home-city club Gençlerbirliği, spent a season in the Gençlerbirliği ASAŞ youth setup in 2003, then returned and signed his first professional contract in 2007. He won five caps for the Turkey U-16 and U-18 national teams.
With few chances at Gençlerbirliği, he was loaned to Kastamonuspor in the third tier for two seasons, then to the club's pilot side Hacettepe for a year; his contract was finally terminated by mutual consent. In June 2011 he signed a three-year deal with Bucaspor, and in the summer of 2013 he joined Balıkesirspor, who finished second in the First League in 2013-14 and were promoted to the Süper Lig.
In 2015-16 he moved to Akhisar Belediyespor, later known as Akhisarspor, where he had the best years of his career and at times wore the captain's armband. On 10 May 2018 he helped the club win its first major trophy, the 2017-18 Turkish Cup, and the 2018 Super Cup followed. In 2018-19 Akhisarspor again reached the Turkish Cup final but finished runners-up. Later he played for Ankara Keçiörengücü and Etimesgut Belediyespor before retiring from the game.
