Aykut Öztürk — Biography
Aykut Öztürk was born on 7 November 1987 in Ehringshausen, Germany, to Turkish parents and grew up in Aßlar. After scoring 32 goals in 30 matches for WfB Aßlar in the 2006-07 season, the left winger moved into the youth setup of 2. Bundesliga club SV Wehen Wiesbaden, making his professional debut on 18 May 2008 as a substitute in the 86th minute against SC Freiburg; he went on to score 21 goals in 53 matches for the club.
In June 2010 he agreed terms with Konyaspor but left without making a first-team appearance there, returning to Germany within a short time to join Eintracht Wetzlar. In February 2011 he signed for 3. Liga side Carl Zeiss Jena and scored on his debut in a 3-0 win over SV Sandhausen, the club he himself joined only a few months later. After a spell at Rot-Weiß Erfurt, where he scored 7 goals in 48 matches, he moved to Sivasspor in the winter of the 2013-14 season and made his debut in a Turkish Cup away tie at Eskişehirspor on 12 February.
Released by Sivasspor in the summer of 2014, he spent roughly six months without a club before signing with bottom-placed 3. Liga side Jahn Regensburg on 26 January 2015, on a deal running to the end of the season with an extension clause tied to the club avoiding relegation. After Regensburg was relegated, he joined FSV Zwickau.
