Ayşegül Günay — Biography
Ayşegül Günay Aladağ was born on 26 October 1992 in İzmit. A 1.72 m point guard, she began in the youth ranks of Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş before turning professional in 2012 with Kayseri Kaski, playing for a team that reached the EuroLeague's final eight that season.
She was part of the Turkish national teams that won bronze at the 2012 European Under-20 Championship in Debrecen, Hungary, and at EuroBasket Women 2013 in France. In 2014 she signed with Galatasaray, then coming off a league, cup and EuroLeague treble. She later played for Bellona Kayseri (Kayseri Basketbol), renewing her contract with the club in 2020 and returning to it again in 2023.
In July 2024 she transferred back to Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring for a second spell, leaving the club in May 2025. In April 2026 she joined Beşiktaş BOA, taking up a place in the club's Women's Basketball Super League roster.
