Aytaç Kara — Biography

Aytaç Kara, born 23 March 1993 in Bornova, İzmir, is a 1.88m-tall Turkish footballer who has played as a midfielder, often in a holding role, throughout his career. He came up through Altay's youth system, turned professional in 2010, and made his first official appearance that year in a First League match against Tavşanlı Linyitspor. Ahead of the 2012-13 season he moved to Süper Lig side Eskişehirspor, where his first goal helped the team beat Antalyaspor and where he reached the 2013-14 Turkish Cup final. Midway through the 2014-15 season he transferred to Trabzonspor, but a serious injury cut that campaign short.

He joined Bursaspor in the summer of 2018 and, after that club's relegation, moved on to Kasımpaşa; dropped from the squad in 2021, he then signed for Galatasaray on a free transfer once his contract expired. After a loan spell at Göztepe in 2022, he parted ways with Galatasaray and returned to Kasımpaşa. In the summer of 2025 he signed with Amed Sportif Faaliyetler (Amedspor), only to leave the club by mutual agreement at the start of 2026; reports soon afterward linking him to Erzurumspor were denied by that club. In February 2026 he moved to Sarıyerspor together with Caner Osmanpaşa and began playing in the TFF First League. Kara has represented Turkey at under-18 and under-21 level and has also earned two caps for the senior national team, and he was runner-up in the Turkish Cup with Eskişehirspor in 2013-14.
