Başak Ersoy — Biography

Başak Ersoy was born on 23 October 1991 in Mersin. She is a Turkish women's footballer who plays as a midfielder and wears the number 19 shirt.

She obtained her licence on 30 April 2004 and played for her hometown club Mersin Camspor until the end of 2009. In February 2010 she moved to Gazi Üniversitesi SK in Ankara, winning the Women's First League title that season. For 2010-11 she transferred to Ataşehir Belediyespor in Istanbul and stayed three seasons; the club won the league in 2010-11 and 2011-12 and finished runner-up in 2012-13. She then joined the second-division side Ağrı Birlik Spor, and in 2017-18 moved to Osmaniye Demirspor, which was renamed Osmaniye Kadın Spor the next season. In 2019 she transferred to Adana İdmanyurduspor, then in the Women's First League, and from 2021-22 has played with the club in the Women's Super League.

She played for the Turkey women's under-17 and under-19 teams and was a member of the senior national team from 2008 to 2012. She appeared in five matches in Group 2 of the UEFA Women's Euro 2013 qualifying.
