Berk Neziroğluları — Biography
Berk Neziroğluları was born on 1 February 1991 in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul. A left back, he came up through the Galatasaray academy, where he was spotted early for Turkey's youth national teams.
He played there until 2009, when his professional contract was lifted to the A2 side. Coach Frank Rijkaard brought him into the first-team squad; his only Süper Lig appearance came on 16 May 2010, a start against Gençlerbirliği. With the A2 team he won the A2 League in 2010-11. In the last weeks of the 2011 summer transfer window he joined Adanaspor, for whom he played just 22 matches, and in the 2013-14 winter break he moved to 1461 Trabzon, scoring his first career goal on his debut against Denizlispor. Before 2014-15 he joined Sivasspor, then coached by fellow left back Roberto Carlos, but left in early January 2015. He then signed with Manisaspor, extended it by two years in 2016 and left in June 2017. He then played for Pendikspor.
He was capped 49 times by Turkey's youth teams (6 at under-16, 26 at under-17, 9 at under-18 and 8 at under-19) and scored once; he was in the Turkey under-17 side that reached the semi-finals of the 2008 FIFA U-17 World Cup. In 2020 he said he works to stay in shape and named Roberto Carlos as the player he looks up to.
