Berkin Kamil Arslan — Biography

Berkin Kamil Arslan was born on 3 February 1992 in Milas. A Turkish footballer who played on the wing, he began in the youth ranks of Nazilli Belediyespor before Galatasaray's scouts spotted him and brought him to the club. In June 2007 he signed a three-year deal with the Istanbul side, and it was later extended by two more years.

At Galatasaray he featured mostly for the A2 (reserve) team, with whom he won the A2 League in 2010-11, and he played around 78 matches at that level. He was added to the senior squad at the start of the 2011-12 season, but with little chance to play there he went back to the reserves and scored twice in the first half of the campaign. In January 2012 he was loaned to Kartalspor, where he did not score. When his Galatasaray contract ran out, he joined Şanlıurfaspor in the summer of 2012.

He was also a regular in Turkey's youth national teams, called up about 60 times between the U-15 and U-19 levels. With the U-17s he played at the 2009 European Championship in Germany, where the team went out in the group stage, and the same year at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Nigeria, where Turkey reached the quarter-finals and lost on penalties to Colombia. In later years he moved around the lower divisions, signing with Karacabey Belediyespor in 2018 and Bucaspor in 2020, and later played in Manisa.
