Beykan Şimşek

Beykan Şimşek — Biography

Beykan Şimşek was born on 7 November 1994 in Aydın and is a Turkish forward who stands 1.78 m tall. He started playing football at age 12 at Isparta Gençlikspor, encouraged by his father, a former footballer; after a year of also playing basketball he settled on football and joined Fenerbahçe's youth academy at 14. Having worked his way up through the club's age groups to the first team, he was included in manager Aykut Kocaman's squad in 2013 and scored on his senior debut, coming on as a substitute for Miroslav Stoch in a Turkish Cup match against Bursaspor.

He went on loan to Karabükspor later that year, then signed for Süper Lig side Sivasspor in the summer of 2015, before further spells at Osmanlıspor, Göztepe and Kocaelispor. He joined Elazığspor in 2023 and was named team captain there in 2026. In June 2026 he left Elazığspor for TFF 3. Lig club Eskişehirspor -- a move with added meaning for him, since his father had also once worn the Eskişehirspor shirt.
