Can Uzun — Biography
Born on 11 November 2005 in Regensburg, Germany, Can Yılmaz Uzun holds both Turkish and German citizenship and stands 1.86 m tall as an attacking midfielder; he came through the youth ranks of SSV Jahn Regensburg and FC Ingolstadt 04 before joining 1. FC Nürnberg, where he set a string of age records. Since July 2024 he has played for Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, and he remains the youngest professional goalscorer in the histories of both Nürnberg and Frankfurt.
After coming through Turkey's under-17 and under-18 national teams, Uzun chose the Turkish Football Federation over Germany's federation despite his dual citizenship, went on to be capped by the senior Turkey national team, and was named to the squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In the summer of 2026 he became the subject of a heated transfer saga in the Turkish press after Galatasaray's interest was followed by Fenerbahçe entering the race on the instruction of club president Aziz Yıldırım.
