Caner Erkin — Biography
Caner Erkin (born 4 October 1988 in Edremit, Balıkesir) is a Turkish former international footballer who played as a left-back.
Over his career he played for clubs including Manisaspor, CSKA Moscow, Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Sakaryaspor, and spent a loan spell at Inter during his Fenerbahçe years. With Turkey he won the 2005 European Under-17 Championship and was the second-highest scorer at the 2005 World Youth Championship, where his team finished fourth.
In a 22-year professional career spanning 10 clubs and 10 trophies, Erkin announced his retirement from football in June 2026. He is married to Şükran Ovalı.
