Cem Oral — Biography

Cem Oral is a musician, record label owner and mastering engineer who holds both German and Turkish citizenship, also known under his pseudonyms Jammin' Unit and G 104. Born in Germany to a Turkish father and a Finnish mother, he began experimenting with a four-track recorder and synthesizers as a teenager.

In 1991 he formed the band Air Liquide with Ingmar Koch, active until 2005, and in 1992 co-founded the Blue label with Jörg Burger. He also worked in the projects Ultrahigh, with Roger Cobernus, and UMO, with Adel Hafsi, and has run the Jammin Masters studio since 1993. Over his career he has collaborated with artists including Wu-Tang Clan, Black Eyed Peas and Gwen Stefani, and has contributed music to several film productions. He currently lives and works in Berlin.
