Cem Türkmen — Biography
Cem Tuna Türkmen was born on 29 March 2002 in Cologne, Germany. A midfielder, he holds both German and Turkish citizenship; he is introduced as German-Turkish in Germany and Russia, while in Turkey he is simply a Turkish footballer. He is 1.78 m tall.
He made his professional debut for Bayer Leverkusen on 3 December 2020 in the UEFA Europa League, coming on in the 67th minute for Nadiem Amiri away to French side Nice, a 3-2 win for Leverkusen. On 12 July 2021 he signed on a free transfer for Clermont Foot in France and was immediately loaned to Austria Lustenau in Austria, with whom he won the Austrian second division in 2021-22.
On 28 July 2023 he signed a three-year contract with Süper Lig club MKE Ankaragücü, and he appeared in 1. Lig and Turkish Cup matches for them in 2024-25. In 2025-26 he played for Bandırmaspor in the 1. Lig. At youth level he represented Turkey with the U-17 national team.
