Deniz Akdeniz is an Australian actor of Turkish descent, born on 16 May 1990 in Melbourne. He began his career in a teen drama series that aired between 2007 and 2009, then gained wider recognition in 2010 for his leading role in Tomorrow, When the War Began, a performance that earned him a Best Actor nomination.
Following the 2014 releases I, Frankenstein and The Water Diviner, he portrayed Aladdin on the fantasy series Once Upon a Time during its 2016-2017 seasons. He has since appeared in television projects such as The Flight Attendant and High Potential, as well as independent films including You Hurt My Feelings and Dumb Money.
