Deniz Yılmaz is a footballer of Turkish descent born on 26 February 1988 in Neu-Ulm, Germany. Coming through Turkey's under-16 and under-21 youth setups as a forward, he built his early career in German football before moving into senior competition.
Standing 1.82 m tall, he turned out for clubs including Paderborn 07, Bayern Munich's reserve side, Bursaspor, Mainz 05, Elazığspor and Trabzonspor. After being left out of Turkey's squad for the 2016 European Championship, he switched his international allegiance and went on to represent Azerbaijan at senior level.
