Dilâver Güçlü — Biography

Dilâver Güçlü is a footballer born 20 February 1986 in Velbert, Germany, who holds both Turkish and German citizenship and played as a left winger. He began his career in Borussia Dortmund's youth system, moved into Wuppertaler Borussia's youth ranks in the 2000-01 season, and joined Bochum's academy in 2003-04, rising within two seasons first to Bochum's reserve side and then to the first team.

He transferred to Manisaspor in Turkey at the start of the 2009-10 season, then signed a two-year deal with Samsunspor during the 2010-11 mid-season transfer window; he made his debut for the club against Kartalspor on 14 February 2011 and scored his first goal against Giresunspor on 20 March 2011. He left Samsunspor at the winter break of the 2011-12 season and agreed an 18-month contract with Denizlispor around the same time. He moved to Göztepe at the start of the 2012-13 season, finished that season there, and agreed to join Ankaraspor the following season.

In the years that followed he played for Sakaryaspor, Balıkesirspor (from 2015), Giresunspor (from 2017), Amedspor and Manisa Büyükşehir Belediyespor (from 2019, renewing his contract there at the end of that year), before leaving Kocaelispor in January 2022. After also parting ways with Şanlıurfaspor that September, he moved to Nevşehir Belediyespor, then transferred to Kuşadasıspor in September 2023 -- his final club before retiring from active football.
