Doğukan Şanlı — Biography
Doğukan Şanlı was born on 23 January 1995 in the Fatih district of Istanbul. A 1.93 m shooting guard and point guard, he began playing basketball with Beşiktaş's mini team, went on through the club's youth and junior sides, and was added to the first-team squad at the start of the 2013-14 season by coach Ahmet Kandemir.
With Beşiktaş's youth teams he won bronze at the 2009-10 Turkish Youth Championship, and he was part of the side that finished fourth at the 2012-13 Turkish Junior Championship, where he was also named the tournament's best forward. Together with teammate Kartal Özmızrak, he was in the Turkey under-18 squad that won the country's first gold medal at the 2013 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship.
In the summer of 2015 he signed a one-year contract with Galatasaray with an option for a second year. He has since continued in Turkish league basketball and has played for Petkim SK.
