Ecem Baltacı — Biography

Ecem Baltacı is a Turkish actress who rose through television drama and also works in film and theatre. Her best-known role is Selin Egemen in the Star TV series Fazilet Hanım ve Kızları.

She began her career on FOX, where she played Hanife in the second and third seasons of O Hayat Benim and caught the audience's attention. She then took the part of İdil in Umuda Kelepçe Vurulmaz. In 2017 she moved to Star TV, and Fazilet Hanım ve Kızları brought her to a wider audience. Around the same time she appeared on the big screen in Yalnız Hayaller Kaldı, and alongside her television work she has continued to perform on stage.

She came to acting from a visual-arts background: she studied painting in high school and graduated from the Plastic Arts Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Yeditepe University. She trained in on-camera acting with Ayla Algan and in voice and breathing technique with İlknur Açıkel.
