Emel Müftüoğlu — Biography
Emel Müftüoğlu (born 14 October 1961 in Izmir; maiden name Merdivenci) is a Turkish pop singer, songwriter, film and television actress, and television presenter.
She became one of the well-known names of Turkish pop music in the 1990s; alongside her singing career she presented television programmes and appeared in films such as Bay E (1995).
In January 2026 she was detained together with Oktay Kaynarca as part of a drugs investigation and was handed a travel ban.
