Emirhan Delibaş — Biography

Emirhan Delibaş (born 1 January 2003 in Istanbul), whose family originates from Ardeşen in Rize, is a Turkish footballer who has played as a right winger and attacking midfielder. Trained at the Beşiktaş Football Academy, he became a social-media sensation in 2015 after scoring a goal against Sporting CP; the clip drew a share from Arda Turan and a 'Turkish Cristiano Ronaldo' headline in the British press.

Standing out in pre-season training ahead of 2022–23, Delibaş scored and set up a goal in a friendly against Werder Bremen and was included in the first-team squad by coach Valérien Ismaël; on 8 September 2022 he was loaned to First League side Göztepe alongside Ajdin Hasić. After returning from loan, he made his senior Beşiktaş debut on 14 December 2023 in a Europa Conference League win over Lugano, and played his first Süper Lig match on 5 January 2024 against Kasımpaşa. Beşiktaş terminated his contract by mutual agreement in February 2024, and he went on to play for Fatih Karagümrük.

Delibaş was part of the Beşiktaş squad that won the 2021 Turkish Super Cup, and was also capped by Turkey at under-17 and under-19 level. In December 2024 he was banned from football for four years after failing a doping test.
