Emre Demir — Biography
Emre Demir (born January 15, 2004, in Mersin) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder and can also feature on the wing. He began playing football in his hometown at the age of six and joined Kayserispor's youth academy two years later, where as a promising young talent he was trialled by both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. On January 18, 2019, aged just 15, he signed his first professional contract with Kayserispor, and that November he became the youngest goalscorer in Süper Lig history with a goal against Gençlerbirliği.
On September 23, 2021, Barcelona reached an agreement to sign Demir, completing the transfer in the summer of 2022 on a five-year contract; he mostly featured for the club's reserve team. On January 31, 2023, he returned to Turkey on a free transfer to Fenerbahçe, and was subsequently loaned out for experience to Samsunspor (2023, winning the TFF First League title), Ümraniyespor, and, in the 2025-26 season, Sakaryaspor.
In August 2026, Demir left Fenerbahçe to sign a three-year contract with Corendon Alanyaspor. At international level, he has represented Turkey across various youth categories from under-14 to under-19, making 48 appearances and scoring 7 goals.
