Erdal Kılıçaslan — Biography

Erdal Kılıçaslan was born on 23 August 1984 in Munich and is a retired Turkish-German forward. He started out in Bayern Munich's youth academy, where he represented Germany at every youth level and scored 41 goals in 64 appearances, setting a long-standing record for German youth internationals. In 2005 he moved to Turkey to join Gaziantepspor, spending one half-season on loan at Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor before returning to the parent club, where he stayed for three seasons in all. He signed for Konyaspor in 2008 and switched to Gençlerbirliği midway through the 2010-11 season; his only goal for that club came in a game in which the side came back from 2-0 down to beat Beşiktaş 4-2.

He joined Mersin İdman Yurdu in early 2012 before returning to Konyaspor, where in a second spell he made 50 appearances and scored 16 goals, and was named man of the match in the 2013 promotion play-off final. He transferred to Osmanlıspor for the 2014-15 season and remained there until 2017. His career ended at sixth-tier German club Türkgücü Münih, where he scored 10 goals and added an assist in 13 matches before announcing his retirement on 30 November 2017.
