Eren Aydın — Biography
Eren Aydın (born 16 January 1982 in Beykoz, Istanbul) is a Turkish football coach and former player. During his playing career he featured as a left back.
He started playing football at age eight in the youngest age group of the Paşabahçe amateur club, coached by his uncle Ali Rıza Boncukgöz. He then moved to Batman Petrol under Turhan Sofuoğlu, and a year later to Şekerspor under Arif Peçenek; while he had played left wing both as an amateur and at Şekerspor, a shortage of players at Malatyaspor, which he joined at Aykut Kocaman's request, moved him to left back. He transferred to Gençlerbirliği in the middle of the 2005-06 season and to Ankaraspor in the middle of 2007-08, moving between the two clubs a few more times before joining Süper Lig side Manisaspor in 2009, where he made 51 appearances over two seasons and scored his first official career goal. Ahead of 2011-12 he moved to İstanbul B.B. (now İstanbul Başakşehir), making 10 appearances and scoring once, then spent half of the 2012-13 season back in the 2. Lig with Eyüpspor, scoring 3 goals in 9 matches. In the middle of 2013 he transferred to Elazığspor, and later that year to Sivasspor, where Roberto Carlos had just been appointed head coach. He also played for Boluspor, Osmanlıspor, Turanspor and Batman Petrolspor during his career.
Although he never played for a youth national team, he was called up to Turkey's senior squad on 17 November 2010 for a friendly against the Netherlands. After retiring as a player he moved into coaching, working as an assistant to head coach Ümit Özat.
