Ergün Berisha — Biography
Ergün Berisha (born 26 April 1988 in Zürich, Switzerland) is a retired Turkish footballer of Albanian origin, whose father was a Kosovo-born Turk. Berisha began playing football at age nine with FC Regensdorf, moved to Grasshoppers a year later, and started appearing for the club's reserve side in 2007. The 1.80 m midfielder went on to a career in Switzerland, Italy and Turkey.
Regarded in 2009 as one of Udinese's promising young talents, he transferred to the Italian club that season but never made an official appearance, and was loaned to İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor for the second half of the season; wearing squad number 66, he played in the Turkish Cup against Trabzonspor and made his Süper Lig debut against Sivasspor on 6 March 2010. After an injury cut his season short, he returned to Udinese before signing for Swiss club Wil in 2013.
Choosing to represent Turkey internationally, Berisha finished fourth with Turkey's under-17 team at the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship in Peru, also played for the under-18 and under-19 sides, and was called up to the under-21 team from 2009.
