Esra Özkan — Biography
Esra Özkan is a Turkish former footballer and futsal player, born on 8 September 1996 in the Üsküdar district of Istanbul, who played as a forward. She obtained her playing license in November 2007 and joined Marmara Üniversitesispor for the 2008-09 season, spending five seasons with the club, two of them in the First League, during which she made 77 appearances and scored 27 goals. While still in high school she captained her school's girls' football team to the Turkish High School Girls' Football Championship title, and also played futsal for the school, helping the Turkish girls' team win the 2014 ISF World Schools Futsal Championship held in Italy.
In the middle of the 2013-14 First League season she moved to Ataşehir Belediyespor, finishing that season as runner-up. In the second half of 2014-15 she transferred to Second League side Kireçburnu Spor, who were promoted to the Women's First League at season's end. She then spent two seasons away from competitive football before joining Third League club Çerkezköy 1923 Gençlik Spor in December 2017, where she scored two goals in nine appearances before retiring from playing.
At international level she was first called up to Turkey's under-17 women's team in September 2011 for a qualifying match against Serbia in the 2012 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship. She went on to make her debut for the under-19 team in April 2013, in a friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
