Faruk Çakır — Biography
Faruk Çakır was born on 8 February 1995 in Eyüpsultan, Istanbul. A Turkish footballer who plays as a goalkeeper, he came through the youth academy of İstanbul Başakşehir and signed his first professional contract with the club in 2013.
He made his first senior appearance on 1 February 2016 in a 4-0 Turkish Cup win over Tepecik Belediyespor. His professional debut followed on 26 April 2017, again in the Turkish Cup, in a 2-2 tie with Fenerbahçe. In June 2017 Başakşehir decided to continue with him and extended his contract by five years. He later parted ways with the club and has played as a goalkeeper for Bayrampaşaspor in the TFF Third League.
