Fuat Ergin — Biography
Known by the stage name Fuat, Fuat Ergin was born on 30 October 1972 in West Berlin to a family from Şile. He returned to Turkey with his family in 1984, then went back to Germany in 1989 after losing both parents, where he began performing at Berlin's hip-hop jams; writing in Turkish from 1995 onward, he released his debut album, Hassickdir?, in 1999.
After settling permanently in Turkey in 2004, he gave joint concerts with Ceza, released the duet album Rapüstad with Killa Hakan, and put out further albums including Kalbüm (2009), Omurga (2019) and 50 Kalibre (2022). In 2021 he released the EP Krematoryum, appeared in contemporary artist Halil Altındere's video work Wonderland — now held permanently by MoMA — and took a small acting role in the film Hep Yek (2016).
