Gamze Erçel — Biography

Gamze Erçel is an actress and model born in Balıkesir. She is best known publicly as the older sister of actress Hande Erçel, while her own screen debut came as Simge in the Fox Tv series Umuda Kelepçe Vurulmaz. Today the celebrity press follows both her acting background and the family pictures she shares on social media.

Her career took shape around fashion and design before acting. She studied Fashion and Textile Design at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, spent years drawing, and worked on men's shirt design. At a 2012 Miss Face of Cinema event she was chosen Cinema Beauty, and she worked as a styling consultant, in product development and in sales consulting for various companies. She began acting in 2016 with Umuda Kelepçe Vurulmaz and also took part in productions such as Hayat Ağacı and Çılgın Dershane Üniversite.

She married Caner Yıldırım in 2019 and the couple have a daughter. In summer 2026 she shared that she is expecting her second child.
