Hakan Akkaya — Biography

Hakan Akkaya was born in 1982 in Ordu.

While continuing his education at the Faculty of Architecture of Bilkent University, he dropped out in his second year and received fashion training in the Fashion Design department of the İstasyon Sanat Merkezi.

He worked as design director for famous companies such as Altınyıldız, Sarar and Boyner; he became the first Turkish designer to take part in the Who's Next Paris and Bread & Butter fairs.

Hakan Akkaya, who creates special designs for many celebrities in his own atelier, has also served as a jury member on the TV competition programs Bugün Ne Giysem and İşte Benim Stilim.

He serves as a jury member together with Demet Şener and Uğurkan Erez on the fashion program Stil Avcıları broadcast on Fox Tv.
