Hakan Canbazoğlu — Biography

Hakan Canbazoğlu was born on 28 November 1987 in the Eminönü area of Fatih, Istanbul. A youth product of Galatasaray and Sivasspor, the goalkeeper began his career at Orhangazispor and went on to play in Turkey's semi-pro leagues for Gölcükspor, Nazilli Belediyespor, Başakşehir and Gaziosmanpaşaspor. After transferring to Osmanlıspor, he made his professional debut in a 1-0 Süper Lig loss to Çaykur Rizespor on 22 November 2015. He then moved to Yeni Malatyaspor, returned to the Süper Lig with Erzurumspor, and had further spells at Boluspor and Şanlıurfaspor.

In the 2024-25 season he kept goal for BB Erzurumspor and played a part in the club's promotion to the Süper Lig with his penalty saves in the play-offs, earning him the nickname Penaltı Canbaz in the sports press. He signed for Fethiyespor in July 2025, moved to Elazığspor in January 2026, and joined Kırıkkale FK in June 2026.
