Hasan Kuruçay — Biography
Hasan Kuruçay was born on 31 August 1997 in Odense, Denmark, and is a Turkish-Danish footballer who plays as a centre-back. He stands 1.87 metres tall. Although born in Denmark, he chose to represent Turkey at youth level and played for the under-18 and under-19 national teams.
He began his career at his home-city club OB. He signed for Florø in Norway in February 2019 and moved to Strømmen in February 2020. In January 2021 he joined HamKam on a two-year contract and made his Eliteserien debut on 2 April 2022 in a 2-2 draw against Lillestrøm. On 24 January 2023 he joined 2. Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig, and on 6 September 2024 he signed with Belgian Pro League club OH Leuven on a one-year deal with an option for a further year. He has also played for Konyaspor in Turkey.
On 29 July 2025 Schalke 04 signed him until June 2027. With Schalke he won the 2. Bundesliga title in 2025-26.
