İbrahim Aydemir — Biography

İbrahim Aydemir was born on 19 May 1983 in Augsburg, West Germany, and holds both Turkish and German citizenship as a forward. He came up through German football, playing for VfB Stuttgart's reserve team before a brief spell with 2. Bundesliga side SpVgg Unterhaching; some sources also list him as having played for Turkey's B national team.

In Turkey he played for Sivasspor in the Süper Lig during the 2005-06 season, then for Samsunspor in the TFF First League and Etimesgut Şekerspor in the TFF Second League. Since 2010 he has continued his career with SV Heimstetten, a Bavarian Regionalliga club.

He is not the same person as his namesake, an AK Parti politician who represents Erzurum in parliament; despite the frequent confusion, the two are unrelated.
