İlgar Kurbanov — Biography

İlgar Kurbanov (also known internationally as Ilgar Gurbanov) is a former professional footballer born on 25 April 1986 in Baku, holding dual Azerbaijani and Turkish citizenship. Standing 1.76 meters tall, he played across defensive and midfield roles for clubs including Boluspor, Sivasspor, Mersin İdmanyurdu, Fenerbahçe, Qarabağ, Xəzər Lənkəran, and Shuvalan FK.

Early in his career he represented Turkey at U15, U16, and U17 youth levels before switching allegiance to Azerbaijan, where he went on to play for the U19, U21, and senior national teams. He is now regarded as a former international footballer whose career spanned clubs in both Turkey and Azerbaijan.
