Irmak Örnek — Biography

Irmak Örnek is best known to television audiences as Şirin Turhan in the series Cesur ve Güzel, and she still moves between stage, cinema and television, taking on new projects. Besides acting, she has also worked as a dancer and a model.

After studying public relations and advertising at İzmir University of Economics, Örnek moved to Istanbul and completed a master's degree in advanced acting at Bahçeşehir University. Her first screen appearance came in 2011 with Bizim Yenge. The following year she joined the City Theatres, and around the same time she appeared in Zülfü Livaneli's film Veda and in the series of the same name. On the big screen she played Ebru in the horror film Dabbe: Cin Çarpması (2013) and Aylin in Nadide Hayat (2015).

Cesur ve Güzel, with Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ and Tuba Büyüküstün in the leading roles, began on Star TV in 2016. Playing Şirin, a close friend of Sühan, Örnek became known in Turkey and in the foreign countries where the series was shown. In later years she played Yeter Öznur in Bir Umut Yeter, which started on Kanal D in 2018, and then took a part in the series İkimizin Sırrı.
