İsmail Çipe — Biography

İsmail Çipe (born 5 January 1995 in Antakya, Hatay) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. He began his career in Galatasaray's youth system and had loan spells at Bugsaşspor, Fatih Karagümrük, and Tuzlaspor. He made his official debut for Galatasaray on 10 November 2018, in a 3-0 Süper Lig win over Kayserispor, and then spent the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons on loan at Kayserispor.

Çipe signed a new contract with Galatasaray in 2021 and parted ways with the club in 2022, which one report described as the end of a 13-year spell with Galatasaray. In February 2023 he transferred to Boluspor and became the club's goalkeeper; around the same time, reports said he was personally affected by the February 2023 earthquake that struck his hometown region of Hatay. He left Boluspor in 2025 and was reportedly without a club for a time, training alone.

In December 2025 his father died.
