İsmail Yüksek — Biography

İsmail Yüksek was born on 26 January 1999 in İznik, part of Bursa province, and signed his first professional deal in 2018 with third-tier club Gölcükspor, where he drew attention with two seasons of regular first-team football. He transferred to Fenerbahçe in May 2020, and in his early years there the midfielder was loaned out in turn to Balıkesirspor, Adana Demirspor and Bursaspor.

He secured a lasting place in Fenerbahçe's squad from the 2022-23 season, winning his first trophy with the club that year, and continued to feature regularly in the league in the seasons that followed; in 2025-26 he scored to pull his side back within one goal after trailing 2-0 away in an Istanbul derby, and the team went on to complete the comeback for the win. A full Turkey international since September 2022, he was also part of the national squad at the 2024 European Championship. He married Esen Matraş in July 2026 in a wedding widely attended by figures from Turkish football, though the occasion drew public attention after the bride's father publicly objected to the marriage.
