Jem Karacan — Biography
Jem Karacan is a former professional footballer of Turkish descent, born on 21 February 1989 in London, England. A midfielder, he spent the bulk of his career in England with Reading, and also turned out for AFC Bournemouth, Millwall, Bolton Wanderers, Scunthorpe United and Radcliffe.
In Turkey, he played for Galatasaray and Bursaspor before later moving to Australia's Central Coast Mariners. Capped for Turkey at youth level, he captained the under-21 national side and became known for his combative style of play.
Karacan retired from professional football in early 2023 and has since worked as a licensed football agent.
