Kerem Bulut — Biography
Kerem Bulut was born on 2 March 1992 in Sydney, Australia, and holds both Turkish and Australian citizenship. Standing 1.86 meters tall, he built his career as a forward. He drew attention early as a youth talent, representing Australia's junior national teams; at the 2010 AFC U-19 Championship he scored seven goals in six matches to win the tournament's Golden Boot as Australia finished runner-up, and he went on to play at the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Colombia.
Bulut began his senior career at Western Sydney Wanderers before relocating to Turkey, where he played for clubs including Karşıyaka, Eskişehirspor and Akhisarspor. He also had spells abroad with Czech side Mladá Boleslav and Greek club Iraklis of Thessaloniki. In 2018 he received a lengthy suspension from a football disciplinary board, an episode that drew considerable attention in Turkish football circles.
