Kerem Can Akyüz — Biography

Kerem Can Akyüz (born 1 July 1989 in Fatih, Istanbul) is a Turkish footballer who plays as a defender. He began playing football in Karşıyaka's youth system and turned professional with the İzmir club ahead of the 2005-06 season. After playing for DİSKİspor, Mardinspor and Türk Telekomspor, he transferred to Konya Şekerspor at the start of 2011-12; he left mid-season for Adana Demirspor and was promoted to the First League with the club that same season.

In 2013-14 he had his contract terminated and signed with Balıkesirspor, joining mid-season and helping the club finish second and win promotion to the Süper Lig. Unable to get playing time in 2014-15, he moved to Alanyaspor, then to Denizlispor in 2016, winning the First League title with that club in 2018-19. After being dropped from the squad in December 2019, he moved to Bursaspor in January 2020 and then signed with Samsunspor as a left-back in August 2020.

He went on to join Gençlerbirliği in 2021, Kocaelispor in January 2022, Nevşehir Belediyespor in September 2022, and Karşıyaka, the club where he started out, in December 2023. Later in his career he played for TFF Second League side Düzcespor.
