Mahmut Tekdemir — Biography
Mahmut Tekdemir was born on 20 January 1988 in the Çermik district of Diyarbakır. A defensive midfielder, he also represented Turkey at various national-team levels.
He spent the bulk of his career at İstanbul Başakşehir, playing for the club for roughly 20 years before departing in May 2024. That August he moved to Ankaragücü, where he went on to captain the side and renewed his contract with the club in the summer of 2025.
