Melisa Aslı Pamuk — Biography

Melisa Aslı Pamuk is a Dutch-born actress and model whose path ran from the Miss Turkey 2011 crown to television drama. Her best-known acting work is Asu Kozcuoğlu in Kara Sevda, followed by Cemre Gür in Çarpışma, and the Asu role earned her two awards.

Of İskenderun family origin, she first faced a camera at 13 as Hayal in the Dutch-broadcast short film Dat zit wel snor, and began modelling at 14. In 2009 she was named Best Promising at Best Model of Turkey. She had started studying psychology at the University of Amsterdam but paused it for the Miss Turkey journey; in 2011 she took the crown from Gizem Memiç and represented Turkey at Miss Universe in São Paulo that year. Her acting in Turkey began with a mobile-operator commercial, and she took basic acting classes at the Sadri Alışık Culture Center. In 2012 she moved into a lead role from the third season of Yer Gök Aşk and that year made her film debut in G.D.O. KaraKedi.

In later years she appeared in the series Ulan İstanbul, Kurt Seyit ve Şura, Yeni Hayat, Hayaller ve Hayatlar and EGO, and in the films Asla Vazgeçme, Cem Karaca'nın Gözyaşları, Kadınlara Mahsus and Sen Büyümeye Bak. For Kara Sevda she won Rising Star at the 2016 Pantene Golden Butterfly Awards and Best Supporting Actress at the 2017 Ayaklı Gazete Awards. She speaks Turkish, English, Dutch and German well and French at an intermediate level. She married the footballer Yusuf Yazıcı in 2024 and the couple had a child in 2025.
