Muhammet Akyıldız — Biography
Muhammet Akyıldız was born on 1 September 1995 in Elazığ. A Turkish footballer who plays as a forward, he began playing in the streets of his neighbourhood like many children. In 2005, aged just 10, he joined the youth system of his home-city club Elazığspor, and after spells in various younger age groups he moved up to the U-18 side in 2009-10, making three appearances that season and 15 the next, with four goals.
He rose to the A2 team in 2011-12, making his debut for it on 6 October 2011 against MKE Ankaragücü. He played 18 games that season and scored his only goal on 12 April 2012 against Adanaspor. In 2012-13 he was far more productive, making 33 appearances and scoring 11 goals. When the club parted ways with many of its players in the middle of 2013-14, he and three other youngsters from the A2 side were given a trial with the first team; their performances impressed, and they soon signed their first professional contracts. Akyıldız was first included in a first-team squad for the Turkish Cup match against Tokatspor, where he sat on the bench wearing number 77. Elazığspor were then competing in the Süper Lig.
