Mustafa Ceceli — Biography

Mustafa Ceceli was born on 2 November 1980 in Ankara, the son of a father from Çankırı and a mother of Romanian immigrant background. He began playing piano at six and even appeared in a TRT television series as a child. After first entering Ankara University's veterinary faculty, he retook the entrance exam, moved into the Business Administration program at Yeditepe University, and settled in Istanbul.

He entered the music business in 2003 as an arranger and quickly earned recognition for his arrangements. His breakthrough as a vocalist came in 2007, when he sang Sezen Aksu's Unutamam on an Enbe Orchestra album, a performance that brought him a Golden Butterfly award for best debut soloist. His first single, Limon Çiçekleri, topped the charts in 2009, and his self-titled debut album that year received a gold record from MÜ-YAP.

His second studio album Es was released first on digital platforms, where its title track gathered millions of streams. In 2014 he recorded the duet Al Götür Beni with Lara Fabian and released his third album, Kalpten, followed by Aşk İçin Gelmişiz in 2015. Alongside his own recordings, which have won him Kral TV and Golden Butterfly honors, he has continued arranging for artists such as Tarkan, Sertab Erener and Ajda Pekkan.
