Nadir Çiftçi — Biography

Nadir Çiftçi was born on 12 February 1992 in the Karakoçan district of Elazığ and holds dual Turkish-Dutch citizenship. Having represented the Netherlands at under-17 level, he chose to switch his international allegiance to Turkey, playing for the under-19 team before later earning a call-up to the senior Turkey national team.

Çiftçi has played for numerous clubs over the course of his career, turning out abroad for Portsmouth in England and for Dundee United and Celtic in Scotland, while in Turkey he has worn the colors of Kayserispor, Eskişehirspor, Gençlerbirliği, Çaykur Rizespor, Samsunspor and Ankaragücü, among others. He joined Celtic in the summer of 2020, and in the years since has continued his career with a number of lower-division clubs.
