Nur Subaşı — Biography
Mustafa Nur Subaşı (June 6, 1941, Bursa - March 10, 2018, Istanbul) was a Turkish theatre actor and voice artist. He completed his advanced studies at the Ankara State Conservatory. He first worked at the Ankara State Theatre. When Istanbul State Theatre was established in 1979, he was among the first appointees. In addition to theatrical acting, he provided voice acting for many films. He is particularly remembered for voicing the opening theme of the animated series Şirinler, broadcast on Kanal D.
After falling ill during a holiday in Thessaloniki, he was admitted to intensive care and diagnosed with pneumonia. He passed away on March 10, 2018, while in intensive care. A ceremony for Nur Subaşı was held on March 12, 2018, at the Üsküdar Tekel Stage. His funeral was held at Üsküdar Şakirin Mosque on the same day, followed by the funeral prayer after the afternoon prayer, and he was buried at Karacaahmet Cemetery. He was married to actress Defne Yalnız for 3 months.
