Ogün Temizkanoğlu — Biography

Ogün Temizkanoğlu was born on 6 October 1969 in Hamm, West Germany. Playing as a central defender, he spent most of his career with Trabzonspor and Fenerbahçe, also turning out for Konyaspor and Akçaabat Sebatspor before ending his playing days when he terminated his contract with the latter club in August 2005.

He earned 76 caps for the Turkish national team, ranking among the country's most-capped players, and represented Turkey at the 1996 and 2000 UEFA European Championships. After retiring as a player he moved into football punditry, becoming a regular television commentator on Turkish football; as of 2026 he continued to draw press attention for his on-air remarks on current club and national-team matters.
